Weight loss story from @iambrianarenee

Briana shares her weight loss story with us, doing several online programs with trainers helped to kickstart her journey, accompanying this with working out in the gym she was able to get closer to her to her final goal.

I feel the hardest part about maintaining a healthy lifestyle is being self-motivated. I feel we all want that perfect body, but we just can’t seem to find the motivation to get up, go to the gym and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Life gets in the way and sometimes we make life events be the cause for not reaching our fitness goals. About to three years ago I decided I wanted to change that.

I looked for different programs online that I could join that would help me stay motivated. Some I worked with a few amazing trainers’ online and completed over 5 programs within the past year and I have lost over 30 pounds. I am only 5’1, so weighing 178 was really hard on my body. I am now currently at 149!

I get so many questions about how I maintained my curves while losing weight. I always recommended weight lifting! A lot of women are afraid they will get “bulky” or become shaped like a man, but that is not the case at all! Weight lifting provides structure to the body and also enhances those lady humps!  The most important piece of advice I would give ladies is don’t focus on the overall look, like just to have a big butt and small waist, focus on the main goal which is become the best you, you can be physically and mentally, the rest will come back. See living a fit and healthy lifestyle doesn’t just benefit you physically, it also helps with clarity in the mind as well.

I feel the one thing that kept me going was that I REALLY WANTED TO CHANGE!  I found self-motivation through looking at my old pictures and looking at myself in the mirror when I was overweight, and thought this isn’t me and something has to change. I knew that I was my only competition and I had to put in the work myself! I didn’t use any “fit teas” or waist trainers to get my goal. I spent many hours in the gym and at home working out and meal prepping so I can be prepared for the next day. Transiting into a healthy lifestyle is no quick fix! I believed in myself and did not look back!!! I am excited to continue my fit journey! I am in the best shape I have ever been and it feels amazing!!!
