Weightloss story from @Ronda_grace

When I first started this weight loss journey on Jan 27th of 2014, I didn’t think I was going to last! I had tried so many times before and gave up after the 2nd week! I even thought about getting weight loss surgery, but my grandmother said that was a big No No!  Many people do not know, but what motivated me to lose weight was a Burgundy Nautica bubble coat that I had wanted the year before.  The coat only stopped at a XL and at the time I was wearing a size 2X/3X.  I said to myself if I could just lose at least 20-30 pounds I would be able to fit into the XL!  So on Jan. 27th 2014 I decided to start a new healthy living lifestyle! I got on the scale weighing in at 290 pounds. Seeing that number, I made a promise to myself that I was going to stick to the new lifestyle and wasn’t going to give up! I prayed and fasted and prayed and fasted! God was definitely on my side! I was determined, dedicated, motivated, and focused! After 3 months I lost a total of 30 pounds, and guess what?  I finally got my coat!  I didn’t stop my journey there because I felt great, and looked great! So I kept on going! By November 26th 2014, I weighed in at 199 pounds! That was a total of 91 pounds in 10 months.  After that I maintained that weight for a long time. September of 2015 I weighed myself again and was 185 pounds.

This weight loss journey hasn’t been easy at all! On May of 2016 I started gaining the weight back. When I got on the scale on October 6th 2016, I weighed in at 215 (gained 30 pounds).  I contacted my sis and told her I needed to get back to eating right and working out. She said, “Let’s Do it!”  I got back to eating right, and working out 3-4 times a week.  On Dec 6th I weighed in at 206 pounds, and also won “The Youth TakeOver Project Weigh-In Cash Out Challenge.”

Like I said before it’s not easy, you might fall off, but always get right back to it. After 3 years on this journey, I am now 205 pounds, (March 8th 2017) my goal is to get back to 185lb, and I’m working on that now!
