Weight loss story from @redd.is.losingit

My starting weight was 392 lbs and I now weigh 237 lbs. I had back pains and sleep apnea due to my weight and I knew I had to make a change. I love to travel in hopes of seeing the world and I was ashamed every time I got on an airplane I had to ask for a seat belt extension because mine wouldn’t fit. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was devastated so I decided since she was fighting for her life, I needed to fight for my life as well and beat obesity. In the end we both won my mother beat breast cancer and I am down 155 lbs and counting.

At the age of 30 I am healthier now than I was in high school.  I was ashamed to join a gym because of my size so I did at home workouts such as Zumba and Insanity and walked the track.

I started a sugar free detox for my first week and lost 10 lbs and changed my lifestyle. I ate healthier and controlled my portions at meal times. After losing my first 40 lbs I joined a gym, followed a strict diet and the weight started falling off almost every week. I noticed a difference in just a couple of months, after about   7-8 months I had lost over 80 lbs or more. It has now been over a year and a half with 155 lbs down and counting.

The hardest part of this journey was admitting that  there was an issue and remaining dedicated to the task in order to reach my ultimate goal. I gave up a lot of my favorite foods and found healthier alternatives to change my life. My confidence has soared and I now know that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

My support team of family and friends and my followers on social media keep me extremely motivated and give me the push I need to beat obesity.

My advice to anyone who feels that it is impossible just know it can be done. The journey is not easy but it all starts with day one, set small goals and crush them. Every pound you lose you gain so much more.
