Weight loss story from @sasha.christine_

Sasha shares her weight loss story with us on how she lost 45lbs and went from size 16 to size 8 in 5 months.

Hey guys! My name is Sasha. The goal for my weight loss was to challenge myself to be more disciplined and determined. So I first made changes to my eating and then to my bad habits. I would have 5 healthy meals a day with 2 ½ hour intervals and no eating after 8 pm. So much like intermittent fasting, I gave myself a 12-hour eating window. This allowed me to fast for the remaining 12 hours. Next, I would go for 30-minute morning walks, 45 minute walks throughout the day, then I’d hit the gym for 20 minutes of stairs and 20-minute body weight cardio. I made sure I got 8 hr+ sleep and drank 2- 3 litres of water. This was my everyday routine for 5 months straight.

My previous weight was 252lbs. Now I weigh 207lbs. I went from pants size 16, to size 8 and size XL tops to M/L. The hardest thing that I had to overcome in order to lose weight was having the combination of eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, less stress and drinking water consistently. Once I was able to master all 5 of those things, I knew I had figured out how to lose weight. One thing that helped me stay motivated along the way was keeping a fitness diary. I used “My Fitness Pal” to help keep me within my caloric deficit, as well as counting my macros, which really isn’t too much of a big deal in the beginning of your weight loss. As you progress, it is definitely something you’ll need to have knowledge of in order to lose weight.

Since my transformation, I’ve gotten a lot stronger, more flexible and my stamina has increased. I’ve gained more confidence and it makes me happy to be an advocate for weight loss, health and fitness. My advice to those who want to make change for themselves is the longer you wait, whether it’s tomorrow or next week, those are days that could be counted towards your weight loss, so why not start today? I can truly say on my behalf, investing time into my health and fitness was the best decision I ever made and I’m glad that I started when I did. I would really like to thank @Afrogirlfitness for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their amazing blog. It is such a great way for women to empower and uplift one another. Hopefully, after reading my story, it has inspired you or someone else to make that change. Good luck to you on your journey, keep pushing and do not give up!
